What’s covered
Everything the move needs
A displaced care worker joining you needs a new Certificate of Sponsorship and a new visa application, often against the clock. These are the parts we cover.
01
Find care workers near you
Search the portal by job role, location and availability, and see each care worker’s experience on their profile.
02
Eligibility, checked first
Your adviser checks the worker’s documents and current visa, and confirms they can move to your sponsorship before you make an offer.
03
Right to work, recorded
Share codes and status checks are recorded against the worker’s file, with follow-ups booked before their permission ends.
04
CoS and new application
Your adviser prepares the Certificate of Sponsorship and the visa application, and nothing is submitted until you approve.
05
Compliant from day one
Once they start, they’re tracked like every other sponsored care worker, against Appendix D and every reporting deadline.
06
Reports from the portal
The portal can produce a report of your searches, which is useful evidence for your recruitment records.

Questions we’re often asked
Who counts as a displaced care worker?
A care worker already in the UK whose sponsor lost its licence, usually after it was revoked, and who needs a new sponsor to keep working.
How long does a displaced care worker have to find a new sponsor?
When a licence is revoked, the Home Office usually cuts the worker’s permission short to 60 days, unless they have less time left. That’s why eligibility is checked first, so an offer doesn’t stall.
Can they join us now overseas recruitment has closed?
Care workers already in the UK can still change sponsor or extend until 22 July 2028, if they meet the transitional conditions. Your adviser checks each case against the current rules before you make an offer.
Do we still have to check the displaced worker pool first?
Not any more. Between 9 April and 21 July 2025, care providers in England had to try recruiting from the pool before assigning a certificate to an overseas care worker. That requirement ended on 22 July 2025, when overseas recruitment for these roles closed. Hiring through your regional partnership is now optional.
