Sponsor licence / CoS requests

Every CoS request, checked before it goes to the Home Office

A request that doesn’t match the role, the salary or the occupation code can cost you the hire. Every Certificate of Sponsorship request is checked against the current rules, our Iris AI agent helps draft the justification, and an IAA-regulated immigration adviser reviews the wording before it’s submitted.

Questions we’re often asked

What’s the difference between a defined and an undefined CoS?

A defined CoS is for a Skilled Worker applying from outside the UK, and you request one for each role. An undefined CoS is for someone already in the UK, such as a worker switching visa or extending, and comes from your annual allocation.

Can you help if we run out of certificates mid-year?

Yes. We’ll help you gather the evidence for an in-year request, Iris helps draft the justification, and your adviser reviews it before it’s submitted.

We have our own immigration team. Does Borderless still fit?

Yes. Your team works on the same platform as our advisers, so everyone sees the same documents, drafts and deadlines, and every approval is logged.

Who approves a CoS request before it’s submitted?

You do. Your adviser prepares and reviews the request, and nothing goes to the Home Office until you’ve approved it.

We don’t have a sponsor licence yet. Can you help?

Yes. We handle sponsor licence applications too, so your first certificates are ready when the licence is granted.
