Our experts / Aleena Jeremiah

Aleena Jeremiah

Senior immigration adviser

My immigration career started at a legal aid clinic, researching complex cases, and continued as a senior paralegal at a law firm. Since joining Borderless in 2024, I’ve gone from trainee caseworker to senior immigration adviser. I help employers secure and keep their sponsor licences, from the first application and CoS requests to compliance audits. Having moved to the UK from Malaysia myself, I know how much rides on getting a visa right.

Licences

Sponsor licence applications

Eligibility checks, documents and a review of the application before it’s submitted.

Certificates

CoS requests and visas

Each Certificate of Sponsorship checked against the role, then the visa application reviewed before it goes in.

Compliance

Reporting and audits

Reportable changes drafted and reviewed inside the deadline, and mock audits run the way the Home Office would.

Your named adviser, on the same record as your team

Aleena’s advice for first-time sponsors: “Your licence comes with compliance duties from day one, so set up your systems before your first worker starts. It’s a lot easier than fixing things afterwards.”

Named

Aleena is named on your case, so you know who to ask.

Reviewed

A review before anything is submitted

Aleena reviews anything that goes to the Home Office, and nothing is submitted until you approve it.

Platform

The groundwork done first

The platform checks documents and pre-fills forms, so Aleena’s time goes on the review and your questions.
